Personal medical information that nobody — including us — has any business seeing.

Lirea is operated by Beck Labs, LLC (“Beck Labs,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). This policy explains what information Lirea does and doesn’t handle across the Lirea mobile app and the lirea.health website. The plain-language summary above is the heart of it; the sections below are the detail.

The short version

We designed Lirea so that we never receive your health information. We don’t run accounts, we don’t operate a server that stores your records, and we don’t use analytics or tracking SDKs. There is no profile of you for us to sell, share, or lose.

Information in the app

Everything you record in Lirea, from your doses, medications and protocol, titration schedule, weight and measurements, side effects and symptoms, through to your check-in notes, is stored in an encrypted store on your own device (our on-device encryption layer, Aegis). It is not transmitted to us, and we keep no copy. We cannot read it, export it, or recover it for you.

• No account, no sign-in. Lirea does not ask for an email, phone number, or any identifier to use the app.
• Apple Health & Health Connect. If you choose to connect them, Lirea reads health data (such as weight) with your permission, processes it on your device, and stores it locally like the rest of your data. We do not transmit it off the device. You can revoke this access at any time in your operating system’s privacy settings.
• No analytics or trackers. The app contains no third-party analytics, crash-reporting, advertising, or tracking SDKs: no Firebase, Crashlytics, Mixpanel, or ad networks.

Payments

Lirea offers a free tier and an optional paid “Pro” tier. Any purchase or subscription is processed entirely by the Apple App Store or Google Play, not by us. We never receive your card number or billing details. The app stores provide us only with the information needed to unlock and validate your purchase (for example, a purchase or subscription receipt), and they may share limited, non-identifying aggregate sales information. Your use of the stores is governed by Apple’s and Google’s own privacy policies.

The website

The lirea.health website is a static marketing and blog site hosted on Vercel. It sets no tracking cookies and runs no advertising trackers anywhere. On our advertising landing pages, the ones under /lp/, which exist only as destinations for paid ads, we run Vercel’s cookieless analytics, which counts page views and clicks without setting a cookie, building a profile, or following you to any other site. The rest of the site, including this page and the blog, runs no analytics at all. Like virtually all web hosts, our host automatically records standard, transient server logs (such as IP address, browser type, and request time) to deliver the site and protect it from abuse; we don’t use these to identify or profile visitors. If you email us, we receive your message and email address so we can reply.

Launch notifications (waitlist)

Before the Lirea app is available, you can give us your email address to be notified when it launches. This is a separate, optional marketing list. It is not health data, and it is unrelated to anything you track in the app. We store this email with Buttondown, an email provider acting on our behalf, and use it only to email you about Lirea’s launch and availability. We don’t sell or share it, and you can unsubscribe at any time from any email we send. You never need to join it to use the site or the app.

What we never do

• We don’t sell or rent your information.
• We don’t build advertising or behavioral profiles.
• We don’t share your health data with insurers, employers, data brokers, or advertisers. We don’t have it to share.

Keeping and deleting your data

Because we hold no copy of your records, they remain until you delete them in the app or remove the app. Deleting Lirea removes its local data from the device. Note that if you back up your device through iCloud or Google’s backup services, a copy of the app’s data may be included in that backup, still encrypted, under those services’ control and policies, not ours. That backup is yours to keep or to turn off, which is why the claim we make is that we hold no copy, rather than a claim about where the bytes can go.

Your choices

You are in direct control of your information: it’s all on your device, and you can view or delete it there at any time, and revoke Health access in your OS settings. Because we don’t collect or hold personal information about you, there is generally nothing for us to retrieve, correct, or delete on our end. We do not sell or share personal information as those terms are used under laws such as the California Consumer Privacy Act. If you have a privacy question or request, email us and we’ll help.

Children

Lirea is intended for adults (18+) managing their own care and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.

Where we operate

Beck Labs operates Lirea from the United States. If you use Lirea from outside the U.S., understand that any limited interactions described above (such as emailing us) are handled in the U.S.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as Lirea evolves. When we do, we’ll change the “last updated” date above, and we’ll note material changes here.
